Structured learning for every stage of the finance AI journey — from foundational literacy to full systems architecture. Choose a track to explore its curriculum, outcomes, and certification.
AI Literacy for
Finance Professionals
The essential starting point. The Foundation programme builds a clear, accurate understanding of what artificial intelligence is, what it can and cannot do in a finance context, and how to put it to work in daily practice — safely and effectively.
It is written for finance professionals, not technologists. There is no mathematics to fear and no code to write. What there is, is judgement: knowing which tasks to delegate, how to verify what an AI returns, and where the professional must remain firmly in control.
By the end, a student does not merely know about AI. They use it — with the caution and competence the profession expects.
Learning Outcomes
- Explain in plain terms how modern AI systems work and where they fail.
- Identify the finance tasks most suited to AI assistance.
- Compose precise, finance-specific instructions that produce reliable output.
- Verify and correct AI output against professional standards.
- Apply data-confidentiality and governance discipline when using AI tools.
- Integrate AI into a real daily workflow without sacrificing accuracy.
Curriculum Structure
A practitioner's mental model of language models and machine learning — enough to use them well, with none of the hype. Where intelligence is real, and where it is merely fluent.
How to brief an AI the way you would brief a junior analyst — context, constraints, format, and verification. The discipline of the well-formed request.
Applied sessions across reconciliation, narrative reporting, variance commentary, and email drafting — the everyday work, done faster and checked properly.
Confidentiality, data handling, and the professional's duty to verify. Where AI must never be left unsupervised, and how to document its use defensibly.
Who this is for
Accountants, bookkeepers, finance graduates, and any professional beginning to work alongside AI. No prior technical experience is assumed or required.
Assessment & Certification
A scenario-based final assessment scored out of 100. Pass the threshold and a verifiable Foundation certificate is conferred, carrying your competence score — issued via Credly for LinkedIn.
Frequently Asked
None. The Foundation programme assumes finance knowledge, not technical knowledge. There is no code and no mathematics.
It is self-paced, delivered as daily lessons. Most students complete it comfortably within four to six weeks at a relaxed pace.
Yes. Every Finaxil certificate — including Foundation — carries a numerical competence score that employers can verify.
The programme is tool-agnostic by design. You learn principles that transfer across the major assistants, with worked examples in the most widely used.
AI Automation &
Systems for Finance
The Professional programme is where literacy becomes capability. It teaches finance leaders to design automated workflows, architect AI-assisted systems, and deploy them across a finance function with the rigour of an engineer and the judgement of a controller.
This is cohort-based and project-led. Students bring a real workflow from their own function and rebuild it — mapping it, automating it, and instrumenting it — under the guidance of practitioner faculty who have done exactly this in live environments.
It builds on the Foundation programme or equivalent experience. It assumes you already trust AI enough to use it; it teaches you to make it dependable at scale.
Learning Outcomes
- Map a finance workflow and identify high-value automation candidates.
- Design multi-step AI-assisted processes with appropriate human checkpoints.
- Architect data flows between AI tools, spreadsheets, and ERP systems.
- Build evaluation and verification into automated processes by default.
- Quantify and present the impact of an AI deployment to stakeholders.
- Lead a finance team's safe adoption of AI systems end to end.
Curriculum Structure
Decomposing finance processes into automatable steps. Where to insert AI, where to insert a human, and how to define the handoffs that keep the process auditable.
Building robust multi-step automations — chaining tasks, handling exceptions, and connecting AI to the spreadsheets and systems finance already runs.
The architecture of an AI-assisted finance function — how data moves between tools, ERP, and review, and how to keep it secure and traceable throughout.
Making automation trustworthy — testing, monitoring, and building verification into the process so that errors are caught by design, not by luck.
The scored project: rebuild a workflow from your own function, deploy it, measure its impact, and present it to faculty. Your assessment is your work, not a quiz.
Who this is for
Finance managers, controllers, and CFOs responsible for how their team works — and accountable for getting AI adoption right the first time.
Assessment & Certification
Assessed on a real deployment project, scored out of 100 against a published rubric. The Professional certificate carries that score and a verifiable credential ID.
Frequently Asked
Foundation or equivalent practical experience. If you already use AI confidently in finance work, you may enter directly after a short readiness check.
Yes. Cohorts run on a fixed schedule with live sessions and a peer group, because the capstone and feedback depend on it.
The capstone is designed around your real workflow. We teach the governance to do this safely, and anonymised data is always acceptable.
It reflects demonstrated competence against our rubric — design quality, reliability, governance, and impact. Employers can verify it against your credential ID.
AI Transformation
for Finance Teams
The Corporate programme brings the institution to your finance function. We design a curriculum around your team's systems, jurisdiction, and objectives — then deliver, assess, and certify every participant against the same Finaxil standard.
It is built for finance departments, accounting firms, and CFO offices that need capability at scale and accountability they can report on. Each participant earns a scored, verifiable certificate; leadership sees progress on a live dashboard throughout.
This is not a discount on the public programmes. It is the institution, configured for an organisation that intends to lead its sector rather than follow it.
What's Included
- Curriculum customised to your systems, jurisdiction, and goals.
- A live team dashboard tracking completion and assessment scores.
- Scenario assessments designed around your actual workflows.
- Verifiable certification issued for every qualifying participant.
- Scheduled progress reporting for finance leadership.
- A dedicated account contact throughout the engagement.
How Delivery Works
We study your team's roles, systems, and current AI maturity to define what success looks like before a single lesson is written.
We assemble a programme from Finaxil's modules, adapted to your ERP, regulations, and the workflows your team runs daily.
The programme runs with live progress visible to leadership throughout — completion, engagement, and assessment scores per participant.
Every qualifying participant is certified with a verifiable score, and leadership receives a final report on capability gained across the function.
Who this is for
Finance departments, accounting firms, and CFO offices training a whole team — and answerable for the result.
Certification
Each participant receives a scored individual certificate, and the organisation receives a Finaxil certificate of completion for the cohort.
Frequently Asked
Corporate engagements typically begin at eight participants. Smaller teams are well served by enrolling on the public Foundation and Professional programmes.
Each engagement is scoped to your team and objectives. Request a proposal and we will return a clear, itemised quotation.
Yes. We can supply completion and score data in the formats your learning and HR systems expect.
How Finaxil teaches.
Daily lessons build the habit. Live sessions build the judgement. Practical assignments build the proof. Community keeps it honest.
Daily Lessons
Short, structured, finance-specific. Designed to fit around a working day.
Live Sessions
Faculty-led, where judgement is taught and questions are answered in real time.
Assignments
Applied to your own work — the only way competence is actually built.
Community
A cohort of finance peers navigating the same transition together.
Taught against the real work.
Every technique is demonstrated on genuine finance tasks — reconciliation, VAT and GST filings, variance commentary, forecasting. You watch the work being done, then you do it yourself.
No abstractions. No toy examples. The ledger on the screen is the kind you close every month.
A certificate that means something.
In a world of completion badges, Finaxil Academy issues scored credentials — because employers deserve to know not just that you completed a programme, but how well.
Assessment
Scenario-based tasks drawn from real finance work — not multiple-choice recall.
Scoring
Marked against a published rubric and expressed as a score out of 100.
Verification
A unique credential ID lets any employer confirm authenticity and score.
Digital Credential
Issued via Credly, ready to share and verify online.
LinkedIn Badge
Displayed as a verified badge on your professional profile.
